is the highest grade of products in the mass-produced, popular anti-burglary door compliant with the PN-EN 1627 norm grading products that fit in clear openings in terms of their resistance to burglary; higher graded doors are not mass-produced for immediate availability, but only available at individual orders. The anti-burglary steel doors in our product range meet the RC4 grade requirements stipulated by the PN-EN-1627 norm and -C- grade in accordance with the PN-90/B-92270 applicable until 28 Dec 2010, which specified the physical properties of anti-burglary doors, as well as their structural design. The high security class is achieved, among others, by carefully choosing parts of the locking mechanism, which includes a cylinder lock, main lock with a multi-point locking system and door furniture with handles fitted in protective escutcheons.
A 50 mm door leaf featuring a thick rebate along three edges is made of 1.0 mm thick sheet metal covered with plastisol paint in plain colours or wood-imitation surface. Door leafs are filled with 48 kg/m3 of PU foam and heat-treated steel reinforcements. PU foam is an excellent binder for internal surfaces of anti-burglary door skins, ensuring their proper stiffness and excellent - for steel doors specifically - thermal insulation, while the internal heat-treated steel reinforcements is the security feature protecting door leafs from cutting or unfolding. The door leaf features a groove for fitting a silicone seal. On the hinge side, the leaf edge features three rigid anti-jimmy dog bolts.
An important aspect of anti-burglary properties is the choice of a lock suitable in terms of functional range, durability and indeed resistance to burglary.
The steel anti-burglary door RC4 is by default equipped with a grade -7- multipoint multi-bolt lock with a universal latch to adjust the locking direction. The main lock below the handle has 5 large steel bolts of Ø12 diameter, set 20 mm apart, hardened steel plates protecting the mechanism from reaming and a 3.0 mm thick chromed steel front plate. All handle models used in anti-burglary doors are designed for aesthetic appearance, ergonomics and ease of use, and most importantly are fitted with escutcheons to protect mortise locks and cylindrical inserts. Certified hardware both on long-plate and divided escutcheons guarantee proper force-in protection thanks to the use of a protective heat-treated steel rosette with a pivoting plate fitted on the outside to protect the insert from jimmying, tearing out and reaming. Additional protection from burglary is afforded by independent fixing of anti-reaming rosettes and escutcheons, with handles using special screws with adequate diameter.
can be optionally fitted with additional locks set at least 300 mm from the edge of the main lock front plate. The typical option is to use one additional mortise lock mounted above the main lock and fitted with a cylindrical insert with a turning knob on the inside.
Cylinder inserts used for locking the main lock security doors RC4 should be classified at least in class 6 according to the new security standard PN EN 1303: 2007, and possess a high level of protection against drilling, pulling out and manipulative opening.
is finished with an adjustable bottom closing strip that extends from 15 to 100 mm with a riveted camprofile gasket. The range of movement of the closing strip helps it adjust to the desired height, so that the door leaf can be opened without dragging against the floor, while ensuring the gasket is flush against the finishing threshold when the door is closed. Once adjusted to the optimum height, the bottom strip is secured to the door leaf using aluminium rivets matched for the colour of the door’s finish. Riveting to the bottom edge of the door leaf ensures that the rivets are not visible when the door is closed.
The anti-burglary door leafs are normally mounted on 84 mm standard profile frames made of 1.5 mm thick galvanized steel painted with plastisol paint in plain colours or wood-imitation surface.
are mounted on Ø10 apertures using expander bolts or anchored to door casing with galvanized steel anchors. Single-overhang and other custom door frames can be used, as well as frames mounted on fixed frames, especially useful when replacing doors, in case the old door frame cannot be replaced.
The standard anti-burglary door is equipped with three 3-part hinges with self-lubricating Teflon tubes and an 18 x 150 mm pin secured with Allen bolts screwed on the astragal side into the tubes of profile frame hinges.
Three rigid anti-jimmy hinge dog bolts protect the hinge side of steel security doors from being crowbarred open.
The bottom of the door frame is sealed with a mounting threshold, which is removed when the door is mounted or cemented into the floor. The threshold is C-shaped, equipped with two screws for adjusting the alignment of individual door frame parts. The doorsill finish is made from stainless or plastisol-coated steel matching the colour of the door frame. It is fitted to the finished floor and riveted to the door frame; combined with the camprofile gasket, it ensures excellent insulation of the bottom edge of the anti-burglary door.
is the perfect door for buildings where both the design and security requirements are equally important.
