EI30 RC2 steel doors are typical, structurally reinforced fire safety doors, with additional elements making it more difficult for someone to breach them and gain access to the secured room. This type of tuning of typical fire safety doors makes it possible to improve their basic specifications with regard to burglary resistance and classify them into class RC2 according to standard PN-EN 1627:2012.
is based on traditional steel sheet-jacket fire safety doors. EI30 RC2 doors are manufactured in a single-leaf, opening panel version. The door set consists of a 52 mm-thick leaf, a steel frame, as well as hinges and fittings. Door leafs are manufactured in the dimensional range of 500-1200 mm width and 750-2100 mm height. Most doors are fabricated in typical dimensions – the delivery times of such doors are short, and prices are very affordable.
Door leafs are in the form of a panel, whose sheathing is made of galvanized steel sheets with thicknesses ranging from 0.7 to 1.0 mm, the top and bottom edges of the leaf are reinforced by steel angle bars and on the side of the lock and hinges, by steel flat bars 3.0 mm thick (the mounting site of the anti-prying pin is also reinforced). Leafs are filled with a fire safety sandwich panel consisting of layers of mineral wool with 160 kg/m³ density and fire-resistant plasterboard. The leafs of EI30 RC2 anti-burglary fire safety doors are made with a four-sided, flat rebate. An expanding gasket is placed on the edges of the leaf (top and sides) in a groove specially shaped for this purpose.
The frame of the EI30 RC2 door is made of steel with thickness ranging from 1.5 to 2.0 mm, as an angular, block, or enclosing frame. EPDM rebate gaskets are mounted in the profile of the doorframe. Doorframes are available with a finishing threshold or in a threshold-free version.
guarantee high specifications with regard to resistance to prying and opening by unauthorized persons.
The leaf is mounted on hinges distinguished by load-bearing class x according to PN-EN 1935:2003
Fittings are also subject to special requirements. In doors of this type, handles with a latch guard with a protection class of at least 2 according to PN-EN 1906:2012 must also be applied. Locks must be equipped with inserts in protection class 6 according to PN-EN 1303:2007. A specially selected latch plate is mounted in the doorframe.
The basic protection of the leaf sheathing and doorframe is electrostatic priming in the color of light ash. Such finishing is the primer for coating the door with acrylic lacquer or other lacquers permitted in the instruction manual. The most common method of obtaining a door with the final coating in the appropriate color is ordering them with industrial-method powder-painting performed at the factory. The epoxy-polyester powder paints applied in this technology protect doors ideally against corrosion and other weather factors. The original lacquer coating is quite resistant to mechanical damage and characterized by high aesthetic quality.
Doors can be equipped with access control elements, a swing-arm door closer, or an automatically falling gasket.
These doors are applied in technical, storage, machine and server rooms, as well as in offices and public buildings. They are particularly useful in fire partitions at moderate risk of burglary.
